Gathering 2010 Rides
.The 2010 gathering event is to be based at The Park Hall Hotel Charnock Richard adjacent to the main M6 motorway in the North West of England. This location is ideally situated within reach of four of the National Park areas of the UK. All of the park areas are of great natural beauty and each has its own unique identity.
To the North West is the famous Lake District of Cumbria, as the name implies this is an area consisting of many large natural expanses of fresh water, all of which are surrounded by high rolling hills and mountainous valleys. The roads link up through a maze of passes making it a joy to explore on your Pan. See; http://www.lakedistrict.gov.uk/ for more information
On the other side of the M6 is the West Yorkshire Dales. This area boasts vast open moorland with long sweeping roads passing through many picturesque rural towns. Victorian Viaducts are everywhere and are a marvel of the period. If you like to sample the county life then this is the area to visit. See; http://www.yorkshiredales.org.uk/ for more information
Travelling south and to the east of Manchester is the Derbyshire Peak District. This area is similar to the Yorkshire Dales but has its own character and some larger famous towns such as Buxton known for its natural spring water. The area is very popular with the motorcycle community, which is testimony to the quality of the roads and the fabulous scenery. See; http://www.peakdistrict.gov.uk/ for more information
The Snowdonia National Park of Wales is the furthest of the parks but well worth the effort. The mountains of North Wales are a magnificent sight and the roads in the area will navigate you through passes in close proximity to the peaks. Central to the park is the town of Betws Y Coed, again this is a place where the motorcycle community congregate and a popular focal point. See; http://snowdonia.org.uk/ for more information
There will be organised rides to all these areas with ride guides on each day and for those who like to do their own thing there will be plenty of information available with maps, routes and places of interest for you to visit at your leisure
